Our Academic Coaches have the requisite expertise and enthusiasm to provide valuable academic support in a number of ways:
- Understanding challenging concepts
- Preparing for tests & quizzes
- Bringing course work to life with motivational strategies
- Organizing thoughts and editing papers
- Unlocking valuable study techniques
The role of an Academic Coach is to act as a guide, motivator and mentor for our students. There is a clear line of integrity between providing academic support and doing work for our students. We will not cross this line. At the end of the day, the onus is on our students to work hard and complete their assignments to the best of their ability.
We work with materials from class, but also bring in supplemental materials if needed. Often resources from outside of class can shine a new light on difficult concepts. While we have developed aid materials, we rely on the subject specific expertise and discretion of our Academic Coaches to tailor lessons for the individual needs of our students. Finding appropriate teaching methods and material to relate to our students is a critical ingredient in our continued success.
