We are in full-swing in the third year of our Private Prep Scholarship Program!
Our pro-bono scholarship enables us to use our core strengths as a premier college prep company in order to make a social impact within our local communities in addressing access to quality education.
About the Program
Students apply through a formal application process during the fall of their junior year and are enrolled in the program during second semester junior year to continue through the college application process of their senior year.
Applicants who are selected for the Private Prep college prep and scholarship program receive the following:
- Weekly test prep tutoring with a Private Prep Academic Coach and access to unlimited practice tests.
- College essay support with a Private Prep Admissions Coach to help students find their personal voice and create a compelling student profile narrative for applications.
- At the completion of the college prep program, each student will receive a $1,000 per year scholarship to use towards college tuition for up to five years (a total of $5,000).
Funds are raised for our scholarship program as part of our Prep*Star Rewards Program.
In Winter 2016, we selected three students from the Academy of Urban Planning (AUP), who worked with Private Prep test prep coaches in ACT test prep and college admissions support.
All three students enrolled in higher education institutions in Fall 2017 and received their tuition gift! We are so proud and honored to have worked with these talented and motivated individuals and are excited to see how their journey continues.
In school year 2016-2017, through our connections with schools and non-profit organizations, we selected ten (10) rising juniors with financial need from all of our local markets – DC Metro, NYC, Los Angeles, Long Island, Northern New Jersey, and Westchester. We provided these students with test prep and college admissions consulting. They are now seniors and are awaiting acceptance news. Each selected student will receive a tuition stipend to use in college.
This school year (2017-2018), we are supporting nine (9) students to prepare for the ACT exam. In the spring and summer, they will receive support from our College Admissions team in submitting their college applications.
